OMG! We Did It!
A record-breaking wedgie week!
‘The Wedgie Scale’ breaks down wedgies in the categories of uniqueness (was it a 3 or free throw attempt?), game situation (did it happen early in the first half or in the clutch?), importance (playoff game or regular season?), and frivolities (any post-wedgie shenanigans or broadcast shoutouts?). Then we give it an overall grade on a scale of 1-5 Ralphs, named for the legendary Clippers broadcaster, Ralph Lawler, who originally coined the term.

WEDGIE NO. 62 | Mar. 15, 2026 | VJ Edgecombe (POR-PHI)
UNIQUENESS: Sixers rookie VJ Edgecombe sticks the blink-and-you'll-miss-it wedgie on a putback dunk attempt in Philly. NBA officials must be placing wedgie bets on Kalshi or something, right? That was an extremely quick whistle.
GAME SITUATION: Early in the third quarter.
IMPORTANCE: Edgecombe had 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for the rook’s third double-double this season. The 76ers beat the Blazers, 109-103.
FRIVOLITIES: This was the second wedgie of Edgecombe’s career. He’s one of just six players to have registered two or more wedgies this season.
